Wyatt's World's first Turkey Trot. Bring your family, neighbors and DOGS to run, walk or jog the beautiful 5k route around Lake Pine.
It is a 2-mile loop, but there is plenty of space to create the 5k route. We will take off right at 8:30am, but if you would like to take off sooner/ wait until it's cleared out, as long as you have the It's Your Race app it will time you whenever you are ready! Due to Covid, so we don't have people gathering you can absolutely run the race anywhere you'd like! If you would prefer to get to Lake Pine and run earlier/later I will be there at 8 with where we will start! Take a peek at this link for someone's 3.24 route, our's will look very similar we will just start a little closer to the lake (3.1 miles is a 5k in case you were wondering and didn't want to ask!). Proceeds from the race will go directly to the SPCA of Wake County. There are so many animals that need our help, and not just by adopting but by helping fund them to take care of all these babies!
How to give back
On top of donating by participating in this run, if you'd like to do more and have any items you'd like to donate, I will be taking things to the SPCA Raleigh location Thanksgiving Weekend. Please bring those items with you to the race. Here are some things they are always in need of SPCA Wish List

How to Submit your time!
-Download the IYR Virtual App (It's Your Race) and let it record your finish time. The app will track your run, tell you when you finish the race and automatically upload your finish time to the race results.
-When you are ready to run (at 8:30am with us) open the app using the email address you registered with, search for the name of our race and click "Tracker"
-To start the timer select "Ready for my Race". you will be prompted to enable Background Location in your Settings. Make sure this background setting is set to ALWAYS, and NOT "only when using". The ALWAYS setting ensures that if the phone goes to sleep, or you play music, the APP will still track your run.
-Following the race, simply go to Settings, find IYR Virtual and turn off Background Location.
-OPTION 2 If you have a Garmin, GPS or Strava. Use the IYR Virtual app to Manually Upload your results. After the race, open the app, find the race, click on "Tracker" then "Upload Results".
Top 3 Male and Females will recieve a medal!
Top Male and Female will also receive either a Wyatt's World long sleeve or Wyatt's World Hat!
